In the heart of the lavish Don Carlos Hotel in Marbella, we witnessed a wedding that was nothing short of a fairy tale. From the onset, every detail, every moment was meticulously curated to make it a day to remember for not only the couple but for every guest that was part of this beautiful journey.
It all began in the sprawling gardens of the hotel. With the sun blazing down, we had set up an icy Moët & Chandon station to quench the thirst of our guests. Given the heat, a refreshing water station was a haven for all. As guests sipped their drinks, their gaze was naturally drawn to the centerpiece of the garden – a luxuriously crafted round arch adorned with pristine white flowers. This arch was symbolic, not just as a wedding gateway, but as the threshold to the union of two souls and two cultures – he, from the vibrant cityscapes of Germany, and she, from the heart of Romania.
The gentle strums of a violin punctuated the air as the couple exchanged vows, bringing tears to the eyes of many. This melodious backdrop continued as guests were treated to a variety of canapés, each more delicious than the last.
As the sun began its descent, casting a golden hue across the horizon, guests were ushered to the pool area. Tables set under the canopy of stars, they dined on exquisite cuisine, each bite a testament to the love that was being celebrated. And just as stars twinkle in the night, so did the feet of our guests. The sounds of an electrifying Cuban band filled the night, and before long, everyone was dancing, the joy palpable in the air.
The joyous evening saw many highlights - the cutting of the cake, a symbol of the sweetness that the future holds for our couple, and the initiation of the after-party with a bespoke gin station, serving the finest blends.
As the first dance ensued, the night sky was lit with fireworks, each burst echoing the emotions of the day. The revelry then shifted to the mystical cave area of the hotel. As the DJ dropped the beats, the dance floor came alive, and we danced into the wee hours of the morning.
For those of us fortunate to have been a part of this celebration, it wasn’t just another wedding. It was a union of love, cultures, and souls, set against the backdrop of luxury, making it an affair to remember. Cheers to the beautiful couple and to the memories created at the Don Carlos Hotel.
